What an awesome day for Amber at Nekoosa. Our first pumpkin was 15% over the estimate at 1450#! Incredible.
I'm going to post a few pictures over about 1-2 minutes of Amber's thrill on the scale. OK my thrill as well. We had no idea what this pumpkin weighed.
Take a look at this first picture. That's Amber through the straps. She is LITERALLY jaw dropped. Literally!

It's been an absolutely wonderful couple weeks for our family! We are truly blessed. Amber and I were a little disappointed with the weight of this pumpkin, but there's certainly nothing wrong with 1764 for Amber's first year growing. For now we are very thankful for this great first season and Amber getting both pumpkins to the scale. What an awesome couple weeks. 3rd place at the number 2 site on the planet can't be all that bad :)
I'm not sure if Amber will ever be ready to be "all in" and get us back to the world class seasons we used to have, but we'll see what she wants moving forward. It's going to be great for us either way.
