This is tentatively what I will start and grow this season. My most prized seeds this year are my 970 Hoffman '07, 990.5 Crosby '07, 898 Holland '07, and of course my 558 Ewing '07!!! I am also excited to try giant Sqaush this year with the 516 crosby '05. Also, I will Plant a few long gourds that I got from Alaskan Deer Calls (Jerri Johnson 90" '07.. A million thanks To Darryl Crosby, Ron Hoffman, and the PNWGPG Seed Giveaway, for supplying me great seeds for this years lineup. Oh yea, and to myself, (j/k). Here's to big things in 2008. My goal this year is to break into the 1,000 lbs club.

This year my patch size is going to allow me to grow three giant pumpkin plants. I put 2 of my main 3 seeds into warm water to soak tonight. They are the: 990.5 Crosby 07 (1133.4 Demers x 670 Daigle) 1 seed 970 Hoffman 07 (344 Hoffman 05 x sib) 1 seed I will also start one 1161 Holland 07 tommorrow and I hope to make that my third plant this year. Thanks to all those whose seed I am growing, I hope to do well this year.

...and in goes the 990.5 Crosby. The black bucket contains vermacompost and worms, I put it all in the hole. The white bucket is horse manure. I put a third of that in. And after mixing the soil with 5 cups of organic fertilizer and all the rest, it is ready to rock & roll.

...This is my pumpkin garden for this spring. The furthest wind break is the 990.5 Crosby 07, The middle one holds the 1161 Holland 07, and the closest one is the 970 Hoffman 07 Dmg. ...I gave my dad a 1289 Holland 07 seed and he is going to grow that. I am hoping to use it as a pollinator for something of mine maybe. I gave my brother a Holland 937 07 and he is going to grow that. I of course hope and fully expect for my pumpkins to be bigger than both of their's because I am the MONSTER GROWER. Someone today told me that my pumpkins scared them last year. That really made my day (lol)!! The 516 Crosby 05 Green Squash is due to put out in a few days. I also will have a Jerri Johnson 90" 07 long gourd to put out in a week or so. May the force be with you and your garden. Monster grower out...

The 516 Crosby 05 Green Sqaush is going outside today. My Ewing 558 07 pumpkin went out on around the 4th. The 558 Ewing is strange. It has 3 seed leaves and was my first plant out of the dirt. It grew twice as fast as my others. The stem on it Got 10 inches long in a week and flopped over. It did not crease though and so I put it outside and it is growing. What a wonderful surprise, That I am growing my own seed this year! Also, my Jerri Johnson 90" 07 long gord has popped out of its shell. Pictures to come soon.

Buried vines and watered lighty today.

I applied worm tea that I got from my uncle Joe today. I tested it on six of my pepper plants yesterday and when I looked at them again this morning they were almost twice as big as the others that didn't get it. So I Foliar fed and soil drenched all three of my personal giant plants. I have other plants that could have probably used the worm tea more but they aren't loved as much as my giants.

I love the seaweed extract because it makes everything that I sprayed it on smell like the ocean. Love it!!! Even sprayed it on 30 Rhododendron's, Seriously; it is totally awesome. Pix Tomorrow. I performed a major operation this morning by pulling up the main past the pumpkin. I then pulled it back and adjusted the vine so the the pumpkin will not hit it as it grows. I buried the vine with some Dr. Earth starter fertilizer and covered it with soil and compost. It was the hardest decision that I had to make yet this season but it went really easy! I also cut the last 3.5 feat off of the mane. Torrential rain last night and tonight. No splits please.

I fed the plants liquid seaweed and Alaska 0-10-10 again yesterday. My dad pointed out to me that I had under watered the plants alittle bit. The drainage on the road side of the patch is greater so hence I must water More. I and going to try to push the limits of what I can do out there this year while staying on my 100% organic track. Also major way to go to Mr. Biss and his 1034 Biss '08 first place puyallup fair. I hope it has a lot of seeds. What a circumference!!!
