The patch has been tilled about three times now. Added my much needed nitrogen which i bought from Demers Garden Center. Also placed my humic acid into the patch. Got my grubx into the patch as well. Got my plants started in one gallon parts that are in the greenhouse right now as they are getting hardened off during the day. The plants will go into the ground this weekend with the heating coils and small heaters to keep warm at night. Will be using mychorrizae this year for the first time at each node and in the planting hole. The first goal is to have the plants six feet long by end of may! Going to try all organic this year except for pesticides. Got cucumber vines out already growing cucucumbers just need to watch for frost, the radishes and onions are doing quite well too. Picked a zuchinni today from the greenhouse and potato bucket is filled to the top now just waiting for tomatoes to turn red. Flowers are now starting to bloom in the greenhouse they will be going out shortly.

Put the pumpkin plants in the ground today, they didn't look to happy i think transplant shock. Heaters are on as it is supposed to be 27 degrees tonight. Have back ups started in case these do not survive.

Came home from my three day weekend in Philadelphia to find the L. Wentzel with two splits in the main vine, looks like the vine is still growing so put some Captan on the splits, and then planted my back up 1283 Grande into the patch in case the splits dont heal. The 1283 has been in the greenhouse for about a month and is about three feet long so it should start to grow good, but the patch will be crowded now with the extra plant. I will probably grow the 1283 in a flag pattern if the L. Wentzel still grows.
