Thursday, February 14 View Page its been cold here -1 tonight and -3 for the next few days but its nice and sunny during the daytime ive made some new freinds who want to start growing big pumpkins so if any one hase any spare seeds going they would be going to good homes . Tuesday, April 1 View Page this is my new propergator it works realy well with a consistent temp about 80f i really do recomend one to any one here in the uk cost about 20 pounds bargain. Wednesday, April 2 View Page watermelon seeds from vader are go. its great seeing things sprout after a long winter .people may think im a bit early but i want to get plants to a good size indoors before i plant them out so they have a good chance against slugs and snails . also my tomatoe seeds have started Wednesday, April 2 View Page i am sorry the water melon seed came from mr reeb in ohio im getting old and forgetful Friday, April 4 View Page seedlings are quite slow still only seed leaves have shown .my own 55 bonas o7 seeds from the hundread weight have germinated the farmer is going to grow one and im going to give a few to some of my customers to grow as i am a gardener by traid Friday, April 4 View Page my next door neighbourgh has given into temtation and today has dug his own patch about 12 bye 20 feet i have given him the 855 palkovich plus a 55 bonas 2007 bonas as back up .he is also a gardener as a trade so he knows what he is doing hopfully his name is tim ashwoth or northan boy to the bpc comunity Thursday, April 10 View Page pumpkin plants going well ive got one of my paton plants going the 1278 palcovich and the 855 the reeb seed thats my line up this year and all plants going well all plants have two propper leaves now Saturday, April 12 View Page all plants going well on south faceing window sill the seed from mr reeb are bye far the biggest Wednesday, April 16 View Page pumpkins all have six leaves and more on the way ill plant out under poly tunnel at the end of the month Tuesday, April 22 View Page pumpkins do not like central heating so they have all gone out side under glass i just hope the shock in temp dosent kill them they are all in 5 litre pots now in multy purpose compost no ferteliser . im only going to add fishblood and bonemeal to pach when the time is right for planting as i found that it is a good lasting fert and is quite a steady feed through out the season.
