Diary has been slow this year but I can tell you am I way behind everyone else.
Got two plants in the ground.
One of them is a funny growing plant from the pumpkin I grew last year.
Planted it to see what happens and as a backup incase the deer decide to destroy my better plant.
Luckily the deer population has taken a tremendous nosedive.

Got some fruit setting now.
Will post some pics if I can get them.
Deer have damaged the plant but it has recovered.
I guess a few deer did survive the hunting seasons

Been culling pumpkins but my vines are not that long due to the drought we are in.
I think this weekend I'm gonna pick em all but two but maybe I will wait for 14' vines. Yeah they are short

There can be only one.
Had two females left and culled the smaller one as I got back from a trip yesterday. It was growing parallel tight against the vine anyway. It weighed 8 pounds on my fishing scale.
The bigger one is in a much better growing position on the vine and measured 25 inches across the fattest part of the pumpkin this morning.
Hope to take pics this evening. Very hot here in the mountains.

35.5 inches up and over the fattest part of the pumpkin
Thats roughly 10 inches since I measured the same area on Aug 10.
The recent rain has helped!

Disease has infected my plant I'm afraid.

Cut off one side vine from the main plant.
Part of it was still alive and has produce a female fruit that is growing.
So I technically have 2 separate plants as of today
