Everything is finally in the compost pile. 10 pickup loads of horse manure, three dumptruck loads of cow manure, one dumptruck load of chicken litter, and 10 dumptruck loads of leaves. All mixed and ready to cook. Sure would make some good worm food when finished composting, might do that next.

After fighting fusarium, rhizoctonia, upper 90 degree heat and high humidity all season. Losing two stumps and four vines I end up with one complete plant. Plant samples and soil samples were sent to pathologist and new chemicals were bought. Then the war begins! Weekly drenches and sprays the plant starts to do better and fruit continues to grow. The fruit is putting on the pounds and a new PB is in my dreams. But only for a short time after 63 days of growth the pumpkin stops growing. The pumpkin is cut from the vine on day 69. Into the cooler stage of the life of this 985 x 1161. A nice sound for now fruit. I do know what it weighs Aug 25, and it went heavy. Hope to see you soon at Bear Wallow Farm on Sept 18th.
