Sample of my Onions today, LH one is growing in Coir with 9th leaf just showing, RH is in Lev. M3 compost/Ecolife with 8th leaf. Not as far on as last year but happy with progress.   Friday, January 31 View Page Onions are growing steadily, LH one in coir and stronger than the soil one which is still in a 9 inch pot. generally they have 13th/14th leaf just showing. Do not think I will be planting out for at least 2/3 weeks.   Sunday, February 16 View Page Planted out 7 onions into my homemade frame after insulating/draught stripping to try and hold the heat in, cold/grey but due to warm up this week, (we have not seen the sun this month so far)   Thursday, February 20 View Page After a week of 4c temp's overnight it has changed to 14c today, planted out 6 more Onions, 5 in Gareth Hopcroft's mixes and 1 in Terra.
