Tuesday, April 15 View Page Lineup Tuesday, April 22 View Page I dug the 2144 and 2465 up today as its been 7 days since I planted them and neither were showing any signs of life which is a big oof. Thankfully I bought these seeds prior to the 2024 season when they were still inexpensive but it still stings a bit. The 2376 sprouted this morning so I'm not sure what went wrong with these 2. Back to the drawing board I guess. Wednesday, April 23 View Page Attempt #2, planted a second 2144 Barron, a 2243 Stelts, 3 of my 1408's (2342 Stelts x self) and 2 of my 1090's (1935 Ford x self). Will try less moisture this time. The 2376 and giant cucumber are in the pots at the top of the tray. I had to keep them indoors until now because of frost risk, its been cold at night. I cut the pots in half and used skewers to hold them together to make it easier to plant them. Tuesday, June 24 View Page 2376 Stelts. No females on it yet Tuesday, June 24 View Page 2144 Barron. This is my greenhouse plant. I messed up the ferts on it when it was small and it stunted its secondaries. It seems to be snapping out of it now though. I planted this one in my mom's garden box just for fun Sunday, July 6 View Page This is my pumpkin on the 2144 barron, I pollinated it with the 2376 stelts on June 25th Sunday, July 6 View Page This is the 2376 stelts today. Nice sized plant but unfortunately it hasn't had a single female flower open anywhere on the plant. Its been dry here and I've been watering it the same amount every day so I'm not sure why it did that Tuesday, July 29 View Page This is my pumpkin on the 2376 stelts, I pollinated it with the 2702 cutrupi on July 11th. Plant should be 1000sqft by the time it reaches day 30 so I think it has potential, although with the late pollination it will really depend on what the weather in Autumn is like Tuesday, July 29 View Page My giant cucumber is doing good Friday, August 1 View Page 2376 stelts day 20. I will be taking it to the IPE fair in Armstrong in 9 days. Tuesday, September 2 View Page 2376 stelts day 52. It developed a good sized stem split a week ago so I've been dealing with that. It seems to have stabilized now, it isn't getting worse. Saturday, September 6 View Page I took a pic of the inside of the stem split on the 2376. It looks dry so I think the fan is doing its job. There's a heck of a gap inside there though. Monday, September 8 View Page 2144 barron day 74. Still growing slowly. I don't think I will be winning any HD awards with this one Saturday, September 13 View Page 2376 stelts, pic is from yesterday evening, day 62 Saturday, September 13 View Page 2376 stelts plant Tuesday, September 16 View Page I forgot to mention the results of some things I grew for our local fair at the end of August. The 2702 cutrupi behind me weighed 397 lbs, the cucumber was 12 lbs, the sunflower was 12 ft, and the gourd on my lap was ornamental. Nothing record breaking but I mostly just grew them for fun.
