here is an intresting pic ofof two worms i found today in the middle of mateing it shows how they reproduce in the pic you can see how the worms are joined at the clitellum
this is the reproductive organ of a worms the thick band area after copulation a cocoon is the deposited in the ground it looks like a very small lemon starts off yellowish and darkens with age this cocoon can hold upto a dozen or so small worms but more usually about 3 to 5 sorry about the biology lesson but not everyone knows where worms come from i just saw these two when digging and thought id try to get a pic
