I found a inside/outside/humidity gadget I bought several years ago for our hermit crab habitat. It has sensor on a long wire to put in the sand to help keep the temp right for the crabs. I figure the sensor should work just as well for dirt as sand. I dont think knowing the humidity will be of any use, but knowing the temp inside the germ. chamber as well as the temp of the soil should be a huge help! For now Im using it to check the temp of the damp paper towel wrapped seed. I also found the habitat heater but Im not sure how or if I can use that yet. I may just stick with the clip lights.
