Since I was using the mixer to make a compost mix for the stump and long carrots I thought I may as well mix the soil for the pumpkin pit whilst I was at it. Blended the native soil with 'homegrown' compost, a little manure and vermiculite and fertiliser. It made a nice fluffy mix!
