I seem to go from bed to work to bed again these days. Very little time for the pumpkins, but I,ve managed to get 2 good beds ready, so it's down to choice now.
I installed an irrigation system again this year, about 3 ins underground, so as to avoid excessive burn off by the expected sunny summer, and, this also keeps the tunnel free from excessive moisture, which in turn helps avoid many diseases etc,.
Also having a go at the Sunflower records. I don't expect to beat the world record for these, but any improvement on my 13ft 10in Irish record will do fine.
