transplanted 44 of the best tomato sprouts into 5" peat pots tonight after work. they got a little true sun tonight during the transplanting process in my sunroom off the backside of my house. this area on top of the bar will be their temporary new home as i slowly acclimate them to full sun. there are pull shades over this area so the plants get a lot of sun, but not direct sun yet. this will work out nice for the next 2 or 3 days. tomorrow i will set them out there before going to work. it is going down to about 40 tonight so they will be brought inside to keep the soil warmer still and then put back out on the bar in the sunroom before going to work tomorrow. it will heat up to at least 80 inside the sunroom with the door open for a slight breeze tomorrow when it is forecast only in the upper 50s for a high. they will be brought back inside each night for at least 2 more days. then i will transfer them to full sun in the small pumpkin greenhouse for a half a day and back to the partly shaded sunroom for 2 days and inside the house at night. then by thursday of next week they will stay outside in the greenhouse all day and night with a couple space heaters on at night to keep the temps at about 60 at night and 80 or warmer during the day with a couple vents open during the day to avoid over heating on a sunny day. they are all looking good with some looking better with real strong vigor which will most likely be my keepers. the rest will go to the guys at bobby's tap which they will have a draft selection process with each guy getting a pick at the plants they want one at a time with the luck of the dice to see what order the draft goes in. the remaining go to my parents and some guys at work. none will be wasted which is cool. this is not the best pic with a flash at twilight, but it shows the little ones in their new temporay 5" pot homes.
