"tomato row". from back to the front is the gordon graham, a big zac f2 hybrid, a brutus magnus, a 5.58 timm x self, and blocked by the front silt fence is another big zac f2 hybrid. they just went into their spots at 2 pm to get some true sun time before tomorrow all day in true sun. it is pretty bright and windy enough in the shazzydome with the vents open that they are pretty well hardened off right now. sprinkled in some rti pumpkin pro myco after deepspading the holes and loosing subsoil and in then went. the soil is plenty moist from recent rains, but i will give the roots a warm drench with seaweed mixed in tomorrow morning after things warm up a bit about 10 am. i buried them up to their first true leaf set and now let the games begin. i bought these 9' garden stakes at home depot and they will work just fine for main stem central supports all season. i will wire tie together the tops of the stakes off to the fence and to each other in a lattice to have good stability when the plants reach over 7' tall. i will not let them flower until about 4' or 5' where hopefully some megablooms show up. this has been fun and i give treetop credit for encouraging me to try something new. thanx glenn.
