Well this may be a bad year for me, just no time with everything going on with the kids games and all the rain from warm to cold to hot and rain again. I have 9 ball games next week so no time for anything but get the kids to there games. I lost almost all my cabbage plants from rain to heat. My watermelon plants for the fair are GREAT! BUT! No one is home to pollinate them so looks like no fair melons this year. My long gourd plants seem to have a blight already from all the rain so may not have any long gourds for this year. The main garden is all weeds but still need to plant more stuff but when? Calling for more rain tonight and tomorrow. I had a crew to help bale hay today and as we started we broke a bolt off then it poured on us so the hay is pretty much ruined. My wife threw her back out Saturday and we had to carry her to the doctor so she is still not able to do anything so thats more for me. But still everything is great and the fall pumpkin plants look OK so far so if we can get all the ballgames over in 3 weeks I can still maybe have something later. The tomato plants look good and fall watermelon plants. The good things this year from the garden have been the radishes, my 6 ft pea plants that are loaded. I really love all this stuff but no time to do it to the extreme as the last 5 years. There is still plenty of time to get caught up and this weekend I should have 3 good days to get weeds pulled and more stuff planted and caged. I hope I can get everything in order before the fair in August. I have two tours to give here in late July and a weed bed is nothing to show.
