the new plants are two weeks old. It's been over 90 for a week now, every day. high humidity, moderate winds. the forecast yesterday evening was for severe thunderstorms, so we covered all the new plants with hailscreen hoops, except for one, which received an upturned plastic tub for a cover. I'll have to take it off as soon as the sun comes up. don't think we got any hail, I hope not, as the older plants had no protection. I got all my regular garden stuff planted yestrday, before the rainstorm came in. I'm done planting. The field pumpkins are partly up. The lettuce is ready, broccoli is brockling. Tomatoes are all setting on, but no signs of red yet.
