Live and learn and Im certainly trying! Im determined NOT to repeat the same vine position issues. I've allowed a generous amount of slack in the vine and a quite dramatic 'U' shape as well. Ive propped up the stem end to (hopefully) avoid the 'stem growing into the ground' problem. My other pumpkin was bigger at this age but the vine was in better health. We'll see what happens, wish me luck! :)
