shave and a hair cut....2 bits. this is the aftermath of my 1147 pruning to make room for the new reverse spider. both sides of the plant look like this. the explanation for why is in the previous post. you can see the flagging in the windless hot bright sun as the plant is sucking the hell out of the less established root system trying to keep up. the leaves were misted all day and are rebounded nicely after this pic. those secondaries remaining secondaries will curl all the way towards the main and most likely that inner portion of left on plant will come out too based on the condition of the damaged main vine. best thing was this pumpkin was set at only 12.5 feet so i have a lot of plant behind the pumpkn and with new vine training i will now have plenty of plant eventually on the front half with all vines leading to the healthy side of the plant and it will have a reverse sink. gonna be interesting to see what happens. this is like a clone with a pumpkin at the stump. what the hell...anything to salvage maximum possible growth. i ain't giving up yet on Kenny.
