Pollinated this nice 5 lobe flower this morning on the 993 plant with 3 willing male flowers from the 1370 Rose.
This one is the second pumpkin on the main vine and sits at 15'. The first (self-pollinated) pumpkin on the 993 is set and growing, but I'm not happy with the placement or cross, so I am really hoping for this one to set.
First few secondaries on each plant are nearing the 15' termination point and all vines are growing at about 2 feet per week so the patch should be full by the end of July.
One more pollination on the 1370 Rose will be done on the main vine soon and I will most likely pollinate a few "backup" or "just in case" pumpkins on strong secondaries before making the final cut.
