Busy day of pollinations today! In our home patch we had 3 females open this morning all on the 993 plant including this nice 6 lober which is on the 6th secondary about 12' out on that vine. One was on the main at 18' just past what appears to be the set keeper and the other on a strong secondary.
All were pollinated with 1370 Rose. Andrea will decide which fruit to keep in about a week, when I believe she will cull her plant down to 1 or 2 pumpkins. I'm helping her out a little with this plant but the bigger decisions are hers.
Also pollinated my buddy Kent's son Sadler's plant this morning as a nice 5 lobe opened on that as well. Sadler is growing Steve's 467 Perrault from last year....can you say Orange?? 467 (904 Northrup x 919 Richards) x 993 Vincent McGill....!! Orange all the way with this one...really hoping for a nice fruit for Sadler on this plant.
Lucky kid got his own 80cc Honda dirt bike yesterday....guess he will be keeping up to the big boyz on the ATVs now!!
