We got back from spending the three hotest days of the year at the ocean and came home to find the patch in need of a lot of work. Everything had grown about 18" but I also had some sun burned leaves to take care of. The person house sitting tried to keep everything cool but was unable to leave work during the day to spray down the plants. The good news is that the two polinations I did right before we left appear to have taken. Thanks again to Cindy in Little Rock for the four male flowers off of her 1502 Wallace that made the polinations possible. I spent about four hours in the patch yesterday and stil didn't get caught up.
