hoping for the best tomorrow morning on the 1147 female on the last strongest secondary. it is now over 25' long easy. got females on some tertiaries that will all be halloweenies if this one or the next down the line in a week or so on the secondary do not take. i have not weeded barely at all on the plant since trying to keep as many roots to get the plant re-established. the weeds get chopped off after getting above the leaf canopy, but not pulled to avoid loss of roots. not the prettiest looking spot in the patch right now but about 350 sq ft of plant and growing day by day in the heat. the fan has been on the female for over 3 days in the heat and the bottles of ice will come out immdedately and replaced all day as the strike is not over yet. i notice 4 male flowers today on the 991 that i missed when pruning off male flowers on the last secondaries established on the 991. these 4 will all open tomorrow. kinda freaky luck. hopefully it was meant to be to get a decent one still for stoughton on the 1147. if i can keep them powdery mildew free all season and it is a warm fall, this plant will have 700 sq ft of relatively new young leaves in the end to feed one if i can get it set in the heat. fingers crossed for this one.
