and here is apic of the newest member of the family, "Stoughton" on day 6 this morning at 19.5" circ. been a long ride to get back to this point. it was exactly one month ago i noticed the rot on the main vine and removed the 200 pound stunted pumpkin days later and then whacked half the plant and filled the rest of the spot back up with secondary and tertiary growth. i did not do much weeding to avoid root damage in recovery mode and the plant looks ragged, but has 250 sq ft of additonal new young leaves as well as another 125 sq ft to fill in with new leaves. stoughton or bust, this secondary pumpkin is giving this tragic 1147 story a chance as a comeback feel good story. or it could split tomorrow and break my heart all over again. lol. silly silly hobby. i love it.
