Day 43 today for the 993 Vincent/McGill in the foreground and day 33 on the 1370 Rose in the rear.
268" OTT on the 993 plant (412 lbs) down to 13 lbs per day for the past 3 days after a run of 19-20 lbs per day for about a week.
The 1370 Rose has ramped up to over 20 lbs per day and I'm hoping that it will catch my wife's 993 and sail on past it. I could not get a pollination to take on this plant untill mid July so it is quite a bit behind where I'd like to be but our weather in the Pacific Northwest usually allows us to have pretty good weight gains till the end of September....hoping for a nice warm Indian summer.
Thanks to my Island mentor who offered advice on the adjustment of the 1370 fruit. Seems to be sitting better now and the blossom end is more in line with the stem than it was before. We put sand under the blossom end on top of the belting and it seems much happier....thanks again!!
