here is april on day 64 and slowly creeping along at 6 lbs per day average over the last 11 days. it is sitting 954 lbs estimate and is 169.5-95-92.5 and 357 ott. hoping i can coax her along slowly for awhile yet. the stem is very small and i believe the fissure that knuckled into that enormous knot may have prevented the stem from increasing in size as the pumpkin did too. that stem knot has to weigh a good couple pounds extra. lol. but is is healed and the pumpkin slowly is turning greenish on the shoulders and has the nice salmon color that the original 1147 ended up with that went 15.4% heavy. i see a lot of similarities in the 2 as the 1147 was 997 est. and i think this girl will end up being very close to that or a little higher. the 1147 kept slowly growing all season that year very similar to this as they beef up the wall density. doing calcium drenches with cal/mag once per week along the main vine and stump area root systems to help it translocate faster into the main and to the pumpkins.
