and i will close this weeks picture show with a harvest of longneck swan gourds. no growth from these 5 over the past week meant i figured take them and start drying them now before the neighborhood kids start grabbing them off the back alley fence. i will keep them in my air conditioned fan blowed bedroom on the cabinet to let them all slowly dry for the next 6 months and i will hopefully make all kinds of things from birdhouses to bowl with lids maybe pained aztec with a woodburner outline around patterns. these goofy things have brought me a lot of smiles, stories, and jokes that i couldn't repeat on this site. lol. very fun and easy plant to grow as it i have gourds 15' feet up on the backside of the house as they attached to my ivy on the brick. its official..not only my dog oreo is out of her gourd...me too!!!!!
