just noticed a flower on the 5.58 timm x self with lined up green tubing that is flat and is over a quarter inch long. it is hard to tell if just 2 actual tubes on the end with inter connected green tissue adjoining them or more than 2. either way it is a really wide flower too and might be my fall weigh off tomato to get me back over 3 lbs again. the first one i got to take on the 14' tall gordon graham plant is just about 18" circ and is looking to start changing color here in a few days. big full round one that should go close to 2.5 i imagine when done. got a nice mater on each plant right now all still green and am letting another start on the gordon graham for the fall cuz this 18" is close to the picking in about a week. really hoping this long flat tuber flower on the 5.58 timm x self takes. the report of the 1147 comeback story pumpkin is a bust. the pumpkin dropped circ. gains right after day 15 and it is only 93" circ on day 31. no hopes for anything but a wierd big assed white pumpkin for someone's front door step. i have let that patch go to the weeds and terts and will get some weird shaped halloweenies as the terts grow up over the old leaves and weeds and then hang suspended first for a bit before the weight brings them down. you can get some nice weird pumpkins that sit straight up like a gourd this way and look good on the doorsteps. i pulled off the female petals off a nice 5 lober i saw by the fence this morning that is a few days old. it is always fun finding small weirdos hiding out in a jungle like an easter egg hunt when the leaves and weeds start dying off and reveal the freaks in a month or so.
