All of this wet weather has my plants looking diseased and loaded with weeds. What a fun hobby. My tissue tests on my 1272.5 revealed my worst nightmare. The black material which formed on the pumpkin is indeed "monkey hair". It comes from having a monkey on your back for all of these years. The lab said it will most likely spread to my other pumpkins as well.
