Scott and Joy Smith are sad to announce the passing of Ruteger, their adopted giant pumpkin. Ruteger was pronounced dead at 9:05 AM, Saturday, September 17, 2011. The autopsy revealed a large abcess on his tummy consistant with over eating and a lack of excercise. Ruteger was born? on July 17, 2011 to Magilla and Ruteger (real names are GVGO 14?? and McConkie 834) Smith in South Ogden, Utah. Ruteger became a celebrity shortly after his adoption in August, 2011, with several admirers visiting him every week.
