One of the cots on the 1304 had a chunk take out of it since yesterday. I picked two fat slugs from under there and hurled them out of the patch then sprinkled some slug pellets.
I tend not to use slug pellets but what else can I do. Threw some pellets around the 852 and gave both plants a water.
The 1304 is growing despite the overcast weather and I wonder of the benefit of starting early this year. I'll answer this question come pollination time when I see how much plant is behind the fruit. Aiming to pollinate around 15' but lets just see what the plant throws up.
