Noticed that on both plants that the roots are at least 4' out around each plant so I need to get some soaker hose down this week to enable even and regular watering.
Also, after reading a post about vine colour in relation to fruit colour, I noted that the 1304 has yellow vines throughout. More suprising is that the plants from two generations of orange pumpkins (i.e. the 738 Wagler and 852 Myers) both have green vines.
