A growth comparison by date of this years 1304 Sperry with last years 1366 Paton. I am clearly ahead in terms of having more plant behind the pumpkin come pollination time albeit on an older plant. That said, I read that genetics of the 1161 Rodonis favour longer growth. I guess the first 60 days will be key for a second year grower and having more plant behind the fruit should be key. In 2013 I will continue to grow early but will build better pumpkin houses and use gas or parafin heaters to keep temps up.
