I just finished tilling the soil for the planting area.
I plant in a very long and narrow planting "" L "" shaped area.
It takes approx. 2 to 3 weeks to till the soil due to taking it in steps and taking in account rain, snow. etc.
The next step is to take the manure, compost and other amendments and till them into the soil.
After that I will lay weed fabric down over the entire area.
Here is the first photo showing the planting strip for the giants. I can fit seventeen plants spaced approx 3 feet apart in a zig zag pattern in this area.
