Here's what I will be using as a surfactant (wetting agent) The product is called Wilt Stop made by Bonide. I will mix a few teaspoons of this per gallon of liquid fertilizer in order to have the fertilizer adhere to the leaves of the tomato plant.
The absorption takes place through the stomata of the leaves and also through the epidermis. Movement of elements is usually faster through the stomata, but the total absorption may be as great through the epidermis hence the reason why I mostly foliar feed the tomato plants.
