The first side vine is out and under the left hand side with no problem, with 3 more probably by tomorrow. Really helps having aluminium base rails to hold the polythene instead of buried polythene.
The main is swerving to the right with the aim to have pumpkin in top right then veer back to the left to hopefully run the main for another 8ft inside the polytunnel in case the first pollination does not set. However, I think it will be far too late to wait for another female to appear on the main.
