1290 Poirier - As per advice given I terminated the main at the fruit in order to ease growing it on its blossom end for beauty. Taking 7' of main vine off has left a 85 sq ft area of root zone and plant. Will train a side vine forward for additional plant growth. My advice for anyone doing this is to get the pumpkin set up before cutting the main since there was nothing to support it. This was a rush job as the platform I have made is obviously far too small but it will have to do for a week.
