I didn't have time to do a soil test on the patch this year as my choice to grow in 2015 was a last minute decision. Thanks to my Dad; we double tilled the patch this week adding composted manure. I put the hoop houses out about 2 days ago but its been so hot and sunny; the ground warmed up quickly this year. I spread some Potash and Bone Meal and a little Gypsum. I also put a very light additive of slow release Urea around the patch as we had so much snow and wetness over the winter; I was worried my nitrogen levels were wiped down. Where the hoop houses are; I tilled in some Triaczide to kill any corn seed maggots, etc that could go after my precious seedlings. They already tried to decimate my plants one year; not letting that happen again. Might need to till one more time after the next rain but other than that; we're ready to go
