planted winter rye at the rate of 3 lbs per 1000 sq ft on this years patch and the 2017 patch. I was told that if I would plant it thinner, it would have better deeper roots.

I will wait to plant the cover on next years patch until spring and it will be a mix of winter rye, clover, vetch, tillage radish, and buckwheat, same as last two years.
