It's that time of year to get onions in the ground. I'm confident in onion growing as I have been successful year after year. This is the first year I have started heavy onions from seed or have attempted heavy onions for that matter. Did both. Ordered the Alisa Craig variety from a couple of sources. These are from Johnny's Selected Seeds and were the largest so went with those. I sort through the bunches and only plant the largest ones. I find that small starts grow small onions and the largest grow the largest. Kind of makes sense. I picked 33 to put into the ground.
