The heatwave around and just prior to pollination screwed up the mojo on a few of my plants. I walked away from a few of them and let things go wild. My 1937 Urena could have been a champ if not for the heat messing up the main vine sets. Every pumpkin in this picture was grown on a single 1937 plant. 1048#, 1026#, 564#, 505#, 304#, and another around 200# is still on the vine. Probably not a record, but 3500+ pounds on one plant seems impressive. All on secondaries or tertiaries. The 1937 was a very healthy plant - nice color on the pumpkins too!
