This is the setup for growing the lettuce. (Eventually the tomato will be the dominant plant and grow above the lettuce).

Working well... It's a seven gallon plastic storage bin with some small drain holes. The lid of the storage bin is working well as a tray to collect any extra water. It takes a lot of water to grow all this lettuce, about a gallon per day. I water every other day or so.
