So I have been obsessing over my third AG, a 1157 Eddie Z.
The first 7 blossoms I pollinated all aborted.
I’m thinking, it’s genetic, plant is sterile.
But then I get to thinking, maybe it’s low P.
So I send a tissue sample & sure enough, P is low.
I applied P through my driptape system & through foliar sprays.
Suddenly I have pumpkins taking.
I figure it is too late for a competitive giant but I just want to make sure I get something & it is likely that it will be a pretty orange.
This pic is my 10 DAP fruit 45’ out on the main vine. It is from an asymmetric 4 lobe blossom which had some seeds in it.
