A quick view from the stump end. Th weather has been variable over the past couple of weeks with mostly cool and cloudy days with the odd sunny and rainy days inbetween. Typical English summer and not really what we need in August. The plant itself seems healthy enough, with some of the older leaves showing their age, as is expected. Blackfly has appeared on some of the older leaves and will be controlled with Chess. The pumpkin is now being covered with a duvet at night in an attempt to reduce loss of heat which may have been gained during the day, and therefore reduce levels of expansion/contraction which might cause a split.
