Finally got a female in the main about 20 ft out. Have females on three side vines, going to pollinate one on the longest of the three, about 10 ft out, just for back up. I am a week to ten days ahead of last year, looking better for a June pollination, fingers crossed. Plant is growing phenomenally good. Weather has been almost perfect all spring, Had four days in the nineties, pulled a 30% shade over the top and they kept right on growing. Natural rain has taken care of most of the watering. I think I have the drip irrigation a little more under control this year. Bought a flow meter and a soil moisture probe to help eliminate guessing. I was really over watering last year which I am sure caused the root rot that ended my season. This girl is doing so good, I am considering tearing out my 150 sq ft pumpkin to let the big girl have more room?
