Pumpkin update! It’s September 1st and the final push is here. I’m feeling good. The 2051 is estimated at 974 pounds and averaging 10 pounds a day. The 1989 is estimated at 881 pounds and also averaging 10 pounds a day. The plants are definitely showing their age but still have a good amount of plant left. Spend 3 hours weeding this morning. 2051 will likely be going to the topsfield weigh off on October 2nd as it’s taping the biggest. Really hoping for 1,000! 1989 will be going to Rhode Island. I’m amazed at how I’ve only caught 1 SVB this year. I’ve had no bug issues or disease issues this year. Hoping to gain another 100-150 pounds on the pumpkins. 1 month to go.
