We started growing giants in 1996 because we wanted a nice fall lawn display to show to our neighbors. In our cold climate and small patch I knew I couldn’t chase any records so we decided that regardless of the size of the pumpkin we wanted pretty and orange if possible. We still follow these same guidelines today and truly grow for the front lawn. Even though the pandemic has changed most everything in ours and our neighbors lives, the display is a light of normalcy for us all.
