I have noticed over the years that the first side vines start a little bit away from the stump and that they naturally angle a little bit rather than coming off perpendicular. My plan is to have the first side vines angle and follow the ropes. Each successive side vine will angle a little bit less until the last ones are perpendicular. it will almost create a bit of a rverse fan withe the secondaries being very close together at the ends.
