The 1263.5 Montsma at the fair. They taped it estimating at 197# and it came in 21% heavy. It was a low turnout at the fair with only 5 pumpkins showing up. I was able to take 3rd place. I did not win the Howard Dill Award losing to a much larger pumpkin that didn't have great color but had a pretty nice shape with pronounced ribs.
This plant was a huge struggle for me this year and I am glad I got one to the scale. I started early to plan for the fair and got hit with a surprise April snowstorm that collapsed my green house and dropped my heat lamp right on the plant. It never really fully recovered from that and the plant was slow growing and sickly the whole season. To top that off I was unable to get anything to set on a main vine so this pumpkin came off a secondary. The color didn't really come in the way I was expecting it to with the genetics of its parent but it was only 57 days old so it probably would have deepened with more time on the vine.
