Well hmmmm when one of the bigger pumpkins weighed in at 954 I was thinking we were not winning this year as it was hard to measure mine and when a soft spot was discovered on the main I knew it hadn’t grown in a couple of weeks. I also didn’t know what the divot and the caved in bottom would mean. I was thinking the low 900’s was where she would settle. She was last on the scale and boom 977. She went heavy and earned the King for the day. My Honesdale growing buddy Andy was over the moon at witnessing the victory. Lol a good day was had.
