My last pumpkin of the season stopped growing due to excessive water/vine rot. The pumpkin was intact. The last measurement was taken on July 28 2024. (EST Dmg. 424.5 lb. Fleming, GW). The pumpkin was a slow, but steady grower. The plant, i.e. the 1908 Connolly was an aggressive grower. I had two of these plants and both were equally fast growers. One pumpkin aborted at 50lb.
I did not repollinate it. I crossed both with the 2465.5 Sperry. Seeds from the 424.5 will be saved for next season.
